It was a chilly, grey day, but that didn't stop Circe from heading out for the fine tradition of QCYC Sail Past and officially beginning the 2014 sailing season. Helmed by Vice Commodore Ron, and crewed by Pam, Nansi and Susan, Circe made it out of the lagoon for the first time since the ice melted, looking snazzy with her shiny gold stripe, and boasting a new sail cover and cushions to boot. Circe was first to lead the fleet past the Commodore, and then after a tack or two, it was deemed way too cold for this nonsense and quickly headed in. Once the flags were hoisted, and the crew revived with Pam's delicious hot chocolate, everyone decamped to land for drinks and snacks.
